Housing the Homeless

Saint John’s is one of several churches in the greater St. Cloud area that has sheltered some of the homeless persons in our region during the winter when the various more permanent shelters do not have enough places for all of those who need a warm place to sleep at night.  Since January 2025 Saint John’s has provided a warm place to sleep for six weeks.  Our guests sleep in our Parish Hall, a room that is used by the church for our after-service coffee hour.  The Parish Hall is also used by a variety of groups from the community whose cooperation when we host the homeless is much appreciated.
